Here you see a guide for the phone system as well as telephone charges at home and abroad.

What are my phonenumber?

Do you live in a single room you can find your phonenumber by following this:

The first four digits are 4697,
The next two digits are following the block : AB = 41, CD = 42, EF = 43, GH = 44, JK = 45, LM = 46, NO = 47, PR = 48 & ST = 49
The last two digits are your room number
Exsample , J14 (fictive) would have the phonenumber 4697 45 14

Do you live in a double room it can be a little tricky, but this should give your an idea:

The first four digits are 4697,
The next two digits are following the block : CD = 42, GH = 44, LM = 46, NO = 47 & ST = 49
The last two digits for C-, G-, L-, O- & S- double rooms is the equal to the roomnumber, but for D-, H- & M- double rooms the next digit is 8 and the last digt is the room number.
Exsample, C09 (fictive) would have phone number 4697 42 09 & H07 (fictive) would have phonenumber 4697 44 8 7

Dial 112 or 0112.

Audible ringing tones

When you phone rings, you are able to hear a difference between external and internal calls:

Phone calls

The bill for external calls will be charged the owner of the phone, you are dialing from.

Error on the phone

If anything is wrong with your phone, you must report it to the janitor.

Prefix numbers and the like can’t be used for cheaper charges at other telecom operators.

The dormitory adds 12,5% to the phone bill. The money will be used for fixed phone charges.
